RELIGIOUS STUDIES

The Religious Studies curriculum is designed to give students knowledge of Catholic history and traditions. Students study the Bible as a theological, literary and historical document and develop the ability to apply its teachings, as well as those of Catholic social justice, to their life and today’s world. Through a variety of core courses, students develop a basic understanding of the Church’s teachings about Jesus Christ, His redeeming mission and the embodiment of that mission in the Church. Knowledge of Christian lifestyles and an immersion in Marist heritage and spirituality serve as models for the development of a people committed to a life of service and justice.
