In its admissions practices, Central Catholic High School endeavors
to enroll a diverse and multitalented student body comprised of
individuals who
Although possessing differing degrees of academic readiness,
are able and motivated to undertake our rigorous college preparatory
curriculum;
Enhance our Christian learning community through their unique
combination of abilities
and interests;
Desire the religious and moral formation at the heart of
our educational program.
Because requests for admission to Central
Catholic High School greatly exceed capacity,
the admissions process is, by necessity, highly selective. Academic
criteria (elementary
school transcripts and entrance examination scores) receive priority
consideration in the
admissions process.
However, in pursuit of its admissions goals, Central Catholic
intentionally enrolls students demonstrating various levels of academic
achievement. Other factors (including, but not limited to, application
responses and recommendations) are also seriously considered; many
of these are necessarily non-objective. Thus, there is no single
objective index by which admissions decisions are made.
