We Are Marist: National Day of Service!

We Are Marist: National Day of Service!

The students, faculty, and staff of Central Catholic joined with Marist schools across the country for a National Day of Service on March 29.

Service to the least favored is at the core of our mission as a Marist school - the entire student body participated in various capacities.

Each year level was responsible for collecting a specific category of items, and the entire sophomore class spent the day assembling care packages for each organization. A team of upperclass students worked to coordinate the day and participate in delivery of the care packages.

Central Catholic partnered with various local organizations that serve the needs of our community here in Lawrence, MA, providing basic necessities to the least favored.
These organizations include:
  • Cor Unum,
  • The Pregnancy Care Center,
  • Lazarus House,
  • Lawrence Catholic Academy,
  • Bellesini Academy,
  • Saint Vincent De Paul,
  • Daybreaks Shelter.
This has been a month-long effort that kicked off on Ash Wednesday, March 1.

The day culminated with all Marist schools in the U.S. participating in a country-wide prayer service.

Thank you to our students, faculty, and staff! What a great way to live out our faith and serve the needs of our community alongside our fellow Marist schools!
