Congratulations to Casey Grange '03 on being named Coach of the Decade by the Boston Herald as part of their All-Decade Girls Soccer Team.
Coach Grange, who also serves as the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, has led the Girls Varsity Soccer Team to two Division 1 State Titles.
COACH OF THE DECADE
Casey Grange, Central Catholic
Of the four EMass coaches who won multiple state titles in the decade, Grange was the only one to do it with two entirely different groups and the only one to do it in Division 1, winning a crown in her debut season in 2010 and running the table for a second championship in 2016. Her teams are 152-27-19 in her 10 years, posting unbeaten regular seasons in five of them and qualifying for the tournament in each. Grange, a former star athlete for the Raiders herself, also has a pair of sectional titles in her five years as girls basketball coach.
Coach Grange was joined on the All-Decade Team by one of her former players, Elayna Grillakis '18...
Central Catholic (2014-17)
The catalyst on the 2016 Division 1 champions, the only perfect team of the decade, she had 91 goals and 72 assists in her career, which included three Herald All-Scholastic selections, two All-NE teams and All-American status in 2017.
Where are they now: Grillakis enters her junior year at Providence having made 23 starts over her first two seasons, finishing second on the team last fall with five goals.
Elayna is Central Catholic's All-Time Leading Scorer.
