Five Raiders Committed to College Athletics

Congratulations to the outstanding Raider Student-Athletes who recently committed to play collegiate-level sports next year!

"We are so proud of the accomplishments of Ty, Grace, Kate, Matthias, and Ava and their commitments to continue their athletic and academic careers at exceptional institutions," said Mr. Zach Blaszak, Director of Athletics and Activities.

"We wish them the best as they finish their high school careers and look forward to watching them succeed at the next level!"

Winter Signing Day Photo Album: February 1, 2023

Any student-athletes, including football players, that have committed to a Division I or Division II and have received an NLI since the November 9th session, will be recognized in this signing session.

Based on the NCAA’s recommendation, student-athletes with a commitment to a Division I or Division II institution that does not offer NLIs (for example, Ivy League Schools and Service Academies) will be invited to participate.

Outside Activities

"I work at my club lacrosse organization, the New Hampshire Tomahawks in Bedford NH, and I am a part of the Haus Athletes gym in Methuen."

Community Service

"I really enjoy helping the least fortunate and putting a smile on their face. It brings me happiness knowing that I can make someone else’s day just by being present."

Faculty Impact

“Mr. Jowett (Mr. Robert Jowett, Science Teacher) was my freshman year biology teacher. He was the hardest teacher in the school, and I knew that going into his class. He pushed me to work and study harder every day and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be the student I am today. Even after I didn’t have him as a teacher anymore, his door was always open for help with school work and personal issues. He is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had, and I am really going to miss seeing him in the halls every day after I graduate.”

The Future

Grace is committed to Assumption University for lacrosse (goalie) and plans to major in chemistry. "I find the subject itself interesting and would love to go into pharmaceuticals someday.”

About CCHS

"The community itself at Central Catholic is impossible to find anywhere else. All of the teachers and people are always so willing to help in any way and support you through anything. Everyone is so kind and goes to school with a smile on their faces."

Our student-athletes bring home State, Sectional, and Conference Championships on a regular basis while representing the school community with pride.

Central Catholic offers twenty-seven (27) Varsity sports in competitions governed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) as well as two (2) seasons of Cheerleading under the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators' Association (MSSAA).

More than half of our student body, approximately 800 students, compete on at least one of these teams, an experience that fosters teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence, lessons that carry over into all aspects of life.
