Congratulations to Kalvin Guillermo ’18 on being named a Moynihan Scholar-Athlete.

A member of the National Honor Society, track & field team, and football team, Kalvin has committed to play football at Trinity College next year.

Kalvin, a tri-captain on the football team, has been named an Eagle-Tribune All-Star and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic.

He also excels on the track and field team. As a thrower, he’s making a run at a 22-year old school record held by one of his football coaches, Ned Finneran ’96. Kalvin’s best throw so far is less than a foot and a half away from the record-sitting distance

About the Moynihan Scholar-Athlete Program
The Scholar-Athlete Program is sponsored by Moynihan Lumber and The Eagle-Tribune. Athletic Directors and coaches nominate seniors who should be all-star caliber athletes ranked in the top 20% of their class. At the end of the school year, one boy and one girl are honored at a banquet and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Thank you to Moynihan Lumber and The Eagle-Tribune for recognizing the effort and scholarship of student-athletes through this program!

Good luck, Kalvin, and congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Raider Athletics

Raider Athletics represents a proud tradition of excellence that enriches the Central Catholic experience for both participants and spectators.

Our student-athletes bring home State, Sectional, and Conference Championships on a regular basis while representing the school community with pride.

Central Catholic offers twenty-seven (27) Varsity sports in competitions governed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) as well as two (2) seasons of Cheerleading under the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators' Association (MSSAA).

More than half of our student body, approximately 800 students, compete on at least one of these teams, an experience that fosters teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence, lessons that carry over into all aspects of life.
