Raiders Triumphant at Homecoming

The CCHS Family celebrated Homecoming on Oct. 14 and 15, welcoming alumni home to re-experience Raider Spirit first-hand.

Over 1,500 people, including over 500 students, celebrated Raider Homecoming 2022 on Friday, October 14 at Lawrence's Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Raiders defeated a highly-ranked Methuen HS team 42 - 6.

Alumni of Central Catholic, St. Mary High School, and Presentation of Mary Academy who have celebrated the 50th Anniversary of their high school graduation were invited to a reception in their honor.

Beyond Homecoming: Thanksgiving at Central Catholic

The Coach Peter V. O'Sullivan '67 Memorial Alumni Race & Walk

Four alumni running in the annual Coach O. race.

12:30 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022: The Lawrence Reservoir

On the day before Thanksgiving, please join us and many other alumni and friends of CCHS in running or walking the 5k around the Reservoir!

Following the race, there will be post-race pizza served in Baroni Hall.

In true X-C spirit, the run will happen, rain (snow) or shine!

  • Wednesday, November 23
  • Locker rooms open at 11:30 AM
  • Race begins at 12:30 PM
  • Location: Lawrence Reservoir at Tower Hill
  • Register online or by mail by Nov. 18

Registration is donation optional. All proceeds benefit the Peter O'Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Thanksgiving Day Football Game

The Raider Football Team will be battling Lawrence High School in our annual Thanksgiving Day Game at Lawrence Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Raider Athletics

Raider Athletics represents a proud tradition of excellence that enriches the Central Catholic experience for both participants and spectators.


Our student-athletes bring home State, Sectional, and Conference Championships on a regular basis while representing the school community with pride.

Central Catholic offers twenty-seven (27) Varsity sports in competitions governed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) as well as two (2) seasons of Cheerleading under the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators' Association (MSSAA).

More than half of our student body, approximately 800 students, compete on at least one of these teams, an experience that fosters teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence, lessons that carry over into all aspects of life.
