Rowing Raider: Wisconsin Badger-Bound

Rowing Raider: Wisconsin Badger-Bound

Congratulations to Victoria Moda '20!

Victoria recently celebrated her birthday by committing to the University of Wisconsin as a lightweight rower and by scoring two goals in a Raider Girls Soccer Team victory.

Victoria was featured in an article in The Eagle-Tribune.

The Eagle-Tribune: Birthday to remember for Central's Moda

Victoria, who rows with Essex Rowing, chose to attend the University of Wisconsin after considering Boston University, Georgetown, and Trinity. Wisconsin competes in the Big 10 school and has a 9,740-acre lake right on campus.

Victoria will be competing in lightweight rowing and has demonstrated the versatility to compete in sweeping (1 oar) and sculling (2 oars), port or starboard.

She plans to major in engineering at Wisconsin and has challenged herself at Central with a rigorous academic schedule. She has already passed three AP courses and is currently taking three more.

Congratulations, Victoria! Happy birthday and good luck. Go, Badgers!

Raider Athletics

Raider Athletics represents a proud tradition of excellence that enriches the Central Catholic experience for both participants and spectators.

Our student-athletes bring home State, Sectional, and Conference Championships on a regular basis while representing the school community with pride.

Central Catholic offers twenty-seven (27) Varsity sports in competitions governed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) as well as two (2) seasons of Cheerleading under the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators' Association (MSSAA).

More than half of our student body, approximately 800 students, compete on at least one of these teams, an experience that fosters teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence, lessons that carry over into all aspects of life.
