National Champion & Wrestler of the Year


National Champion & Wrestler of the Year

Congratulations to Nathan Blanchette '24 on winning a National Championship, earning his second straight New England Wrestling Championship, completing an undefeated season, and being named the Eagle-Tribune Wrestler of the Year!

Nathan when 47-0 this year, surpassing 100 career wins.

In March, he traveled to Virginia Beach to become Central Catholic's first-ever National Champion.

A three-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star, Nathan was presented with the Dimmy Gavriel Memorial Award for the Eagle-Tribune Wrestler of the Year in April (for the second consecutive year).

Raider Athletics represents a proud tradition of excellence that enriches the Central Catholic experience for both participants and spectators.


Our student-athletes bring home State, Sectional, and Conference Championships on a regular basis while representing the school community with pride.

Central Catholic offers twenty-seven (27) Varsity sports in competitions governed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) as well as two (2) seasons of Cheerleading under the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators' Association (MSSAA).

More than half of our student body, approximately 800 students, compete on at least one of these teams, an experience that fosters teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence, lessons that carry over into all aspects of life.
