Textbooks Available August 2

Textbooks for the 2023 - 2024 school year are now available!

• Go to the Textbook Page on the CCHS website.
• Using the course listing emailed to you by Ms. Burns on August 2, order the textbooks required for each of the courses you are enrolled in.
• The course name and course number are located on the course listing.
• Always use your CCHS email address when an email address is required during purchasing.
• The step-by-step directions for "How to Order" books are located on the Textbook page.
• You can email textbooks@centralcatholic.net with any additional questions you may have about ordering textbooks.

Students received their course listings from the Academic Dean, Ms. Jeanne Burns, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. If you did not receive an email with your course list attached, please inform Ms. Jeanne Burns by email at jburns@centralcatholic.net.

Your final schedule (with room #'s, times and teacher's names) will be emailed to you on September 1. If you have a question about the course selections listed, please email Ms. Jeanne Burns.

There is no pre-ordering needed, students can choose which item they want. The menu reflects the daily options - also displayed on a screen in Baroni Hall. 

Cash and checks are accepted. If a parent wants to add funds to an account via credit/debit card, that can be done on the online payment portal. Instructions are included in the SLA Management pdf.

Please note: Funds added to a student's lunch account may take from three to five days before becoming available for lunch purchases.

The School Counseling Office empowers seniors to navigate the college application season with confidence and success by providing programs that support students & their families throughout the college selection process.

Central Catholic has contracted with Mark Lawrence Photographers as our exclusive senior portrait photographer. All senior portraits included in the yearbook must be taken by Mark Lawrence. This studio is well-known for its high-quality photography and competitive prices.

Mark Lawrence Photographers will be contacting you for the yearbook senior portrait and appointments. All senior portrait appointments must be scheduled before December 1, 2023.

Remember, for a senior portrait to be included in the yearbook it must come from Mark Lawrence.

You may still use an outside photographer for your own personal portraits. If you are using another photographer for your senior pictures, Mark Lawrence will set up an in-school session (date TBD) to have a photo taken to be included in the yearbook at no cost. This is a YEARBOOK PHOTO ONLY. It will not include any photo package. All Senior Portrait appointments must be scheduled before December 1, 2023.

I want to remind you of the specifications and guidelines for your yearbook senior portrait to ensure that you are included in your 2024 Florentian yearbook.

Portrait Format

• Portraits must use an INDOOR background in LIGHT BLUE, BROWN OR GRAY.
• Your pose should include YOUR HEAD AND SHOULDERS. Do NOT choose ‘over the shoulder’ poses or poses that include your hands.
• Your portrait must NOT include personal belongings, props, or other objects.

Dress and Appearance

• Gentlemen
  • Shirt and tie at a minimum, jacket suggested.
  • NO facial hair, one earring allowed in each ear. NO other piercings.
• Ladies
  • Blouse or dress with short or long sleeves. Sleeveless sleeves with cut-outs, or very short sleeve tops are not allowed as well as tops that are too tight or form-fitting. Tank tops and spaghetti straps are not allowed. No cleavage is to be shown in the picture. If you think your top may be cut too low, choose another.
  • ONE set of earrings is permitted. NO other piercings.

The studios are located in Haverhill, MA; Londonderry, NH; and Nashua, NH. You will receive information regarding setting up an appointment with Mark Lawrence Photographers. If you have questions about your appointment, you may call the studio at 978-374-0371.

We are making an important update to our Christian service tracking program and are moving away from our current system, x2Vol. Students can no longer access that program.

All of your previously submitted service hours are being transferred to our new service tracking program.

Please keep track of any service hours you are currently doing (in a google doc, excel sheet, etc.)

Once the new program is up and running, we will contact you about how to submit your hours, look for service opportunities and more.

Daily Academic Schedules

Be sure to order dress code items by July 31 to avoid any back orders and to ensure that your student has the school attire for the first day of school!

Shirts, sweaters, fleeces, pants, and physical education uniforms with the approved CCHS logo are part of the school dress code and are purchased through Lands’ End School Uniforms.

You can view the selection of acceptable dress code clothing by creating a profile or using our preferred school number 900033143 on the Lands’ End website.

One option for families looking for school uniforms is to visit the Lands' End store at the Burlington Mall, where they carry a full range of the types of clothes included in our dress code. Try on sample sizes to find the right fit.

Footwear: Central Catholic requires a dress code shoe for all students. Acceptable styles are leather Boat Shoes in the following colors: Tan, Brown, Black, Blue, or Gray. Socks must be worn and shoes with laces must be tied. Slippers, moccasins, clogs (Crocs) and other open toed or open backed shoes are not allowed.

More detailed information on appearance and attire will be available in the 2023-2024 Student-Parent Handbook and will also be addressed at the Welcome Night for New Students & Parents.

Make a Payment Through Facts

Each year, student parking is available to juniors and seniors. Because there are a limited number of spaces, parking permits ($150) are issued through an annual application process. Parking pass information is emailed to juniors and seniors during the summer.

Senior Parking Pass Application: July 31, 2023

The 2023-2024 parking pass application will be emailed to the Class of 2024 as a Google form on July 31, 2023.

Junior Parking Pass Application: August 7, 2023

The 2023-2024 parking pass application will be emailed to the Class of 2025 as a Google form on August 7, 2023.

Parking Pass Requirements & Details

Students must have a valid driver's license to be eligible for a parking pass. You will not be eligible to receive a parking pass until you have provided a valid driver's license and payment of $150 to the Main Office.

The following three items must be submitted to receive a parking pass.

1. Google form
   • Sent to seniors via email on July 31.
   • Sent to juniors via email on August 7.
2. Proof of valid driver's license
3. Payment of $150 (Checks made payable to CCHS)

Proof of valid driver's license and payment may be hand delivered or mailed to CCHS.

If you do not have your license by the application date, you will not be eligible for a parking pass until you receive it. If there are no available spots at that time, you will be included on a waitlist.

Complete applications (Google form application, copy of valid license, and payment) will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

The CCHS parking pass will provide access to both the CCHS main parking lot and the St. Joseph Church parking lot.
