College Essay Workshop

• All students must be present and arrive in a timely fashion to their designated classroom.
• Please respect your teacher and classmates.
• Dress code should be presentable and within CCHS dress down guidelines with respect to what is appropriate for class. Hats, hoods, sunglasses, and revealing or inappropriate clothing that references sex, drugs or alcohol are not permitted.
• Eating/drinking while participating in class is not acceptable. This is distracting and inconsiderate of your teacher and classmates. Students who eat during a session may be removed from the class and progressive discipline will be enforced.
• These may include suspension of remote learning and loss of program fees.
• Note: Students who consistently ignore the above may forfeit learning access and all paid program fees.

Central Catholic Summer Term offers students the opportunity to attend courses during summer vacation: We realize that our schedule of courses might conflict with previous arrangements and family commitments. To allow for these situations, Central Catholic Summer Term permits students to be absent under the following conditions:

• All anticipated absences beyond one day must be approved by the director of Summer Term prior to the beginning of Summer Term.
• Students agree to make up all missed work and at least a portion of all missed class time. In most situations, students will make up all missed class time by arriving early or staying later.
• Students will be in direct contact with instructors via email as needed to fulfill these requirements.
• The Summer Term Office must receive in writing a letter from a parent or guardian with the dates of such absences no later than 1:00 pm on June 26.
• Extended absences not approved will result in loss of class credit, forfeiture of all fees, and withdrawal from the program.
• All unanticipated absences must be accompanied by a phone call to the school by a parent or guardian no later than 8:00 AM on the day of the absence.
• Upon a student’s return the following day, the student must have a note signed by a parent or guardian explaining the absence.
• Any unexcused absence will lead to a loss of credit, forfeiture of all fees, and withdrawal from the program.

If a student is sick and cannot attend class or has to miss class for some reason, CCHS requires that a parent or guardian call the school to report a student absence:

• Call 978-682-0260, ext. 644 and leave a message for Mr. Shawn Dumas that contains your child’s name and reason for absence.
• Any student who is absent for a class meeting must complete all of his or her work missed during the absence, ideally before the next class meeting. In some cases, students may need to attend additional Zoom meetings and/or an additional class meeting to successfully complete the program.
