AP Courses
Students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with college-level courses offered by our extensive AP Program with the College Board, in addition to our dual enrollment programs with Syracuse University and Southern New Hampshire University.
Our Highly Successful AP Program
Central Catholic High School boasts an extensive, strong, and highly successful Advanced Placement (AP) Program.
CCHS has been chosen by the College Board as one of the select schools in Massachusetts and New Hampshire to offer the AP Capstone Diploma.
2023 AP Outcomes
- 324 CCHS students participated in the AP Program, taking 701 AP Exams in May 2023.
- 54% of seniors, 42% of juniors, 11% of sophomores, and 3% of freshmen sat for at least one AP Exam.
- 73% of our students taking exams earned a score of 3 or better, far exceeding both state and global averages.
- 97 Central Catholic students were named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board’s AP Program, including seven students who were awarded the AP Capstone Diploma and five others who earned Certificates in AP Seminar and Research.
Central Catholic’s students significantly outpaced the national and state averages on AP exams and may receive credits by colleges upon review of their scores.
These achievements are the result of progressive placement in courses, students’ own talents and diligence, as well as the outstanding teaching and mentoring provided by our dedicated faculty.
Please note: the awarding of college credits is solely at the discretion of the college or the university students choose to attend.
