Do you dread doing your homework every night? Well, 90.8% of students at Central Catholic feel that homework is stressful to them. Homework can often feel very overwhelming and not helpful. So, is homework really beneficial to students?

In a poll conducted among CCHS students, many students explained that they were not sure where to start when trying to advance in academic course levels. This article will explain the steps required to move up, the people involved, and the requirements. It will also contain information and fun-facts from interviews with Ms. Burns (our academic dean) and teachers, plus the results from our student poll.

According to the International Dark Sky Association, “Light pollution is a side effect of industrial civilization. Its sources include building exterior and interior lighting, advertising, commercial properties, offices, factories, streetlights, and illuminated sporting venues.” Due to this pollution natural life cycles are inhibited and space observation is hindered.

There’s nothing better than when I finish all my homework before 9:30 P.M. I can finally get to bed on time, and maybe even fix my terrible sleeping patterns. I get into bed, look at the clock, it’s 10 P.M. I close my eyes…and almost immediately, my eyes snap back open. I don’t feel tired. Give it time, I say to myself. So I wait. For an hour. I check the clock again, it’s 11:05.
