Grandparents Day

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Central Catholic Family welcomed over 650 people to our Freshman Grandparents Day for the Class of 2029!

All attendees - freshmen, grandparents, and friends - enjoyed lunch and a musical performance by students.

Following the program in the Memorial Gymnasium, students led their grandparents on tours throughout the school and visited the Raider Campus Store.

• Our Master of Ceremonies, Mr. David DeFillippo '66;
• Our President, Mr. Christopher Sullivan '81, for his closing remarks;
• Our student musicians, Six Strings, for sharing their musical talents:
  • John Calobrisi '28, Lucia Cataldo '28, Caroline Gnabasik '28, Anthony Merheb '28, Jacob Petrosillo '28, and Maisie Spratt '28;
• Our student volunteers from the Student Alumni Association for their hospitality and service;
• Addyson Plouffe '26, for leading those present in prayer;
• Sevmar Mediterranean Bistro and Ms. Jocelyn (Maroun '04) Severino for catering a delicious meal;
• Tripoli Bakery, Mr. Rosario Zappala '66, Mr. Matt Zappala '89, and Mr. Andrew Zappala '96 for providing cookies for dessert;
• Mann Orchards, Mr. Matthew Fitzgerald ’02 for providing 80 pumpkins and mums;
• Our Director of Buildings & Grounds, Mr. Edwin Candelario, and our maintenance staff, for taking care of the logistics that made the day possible;
• Mr. Kevin Shute, our Network & Systems Manager, and Mr. Hamid Faiz, our Manager of IT Services, for their technology expertise and support;
• The CCHS Parents Guild, especially Mrs. Jennifer Bellemore P '26, who provided hospitality, helping to set up, organize, and serve!

And perhaps, most importantly of all, thank you to our Grandparents for your presence in our lives and for your legacy of love, wisdom, and sacrifice.
