Congratulations to Rachel Asasira '26, who has been awarded the Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship! Rachel is one of just 25 students who was selected for this prestigious scholarship presented to students in Massachusetts who have overcome major adversity and shown outstanding academic promise.

The Central Catholic Mock Trial Team opened the 2026 season with a victory over Andover High School at the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover on January 12, 2026. Kaleigh Davoli '27 led the way, earning 19 out of a possible 20 points.

The first waves of college acceptances have been rolling in for the Class of 2026. Congratulations to the members of the class on your many successes, and good luck as you select the best fit for your bright future!

Students in Planet Green, Central Catholic's Environmental Club, and Love for Lazarus have launched an initiative to help our neighbors in need: A Winter Clothing Drive. Join us as we partner with Lazarus House Ministries and Ruth's House.

One of our newest clubs has hit the ground running. Students in Best Buddies are taking the lead in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They were a top 10 school at the Boston Best Buddies Friendship Walk in October and hosted a Christmas Snacks and Crafts for families in December.

For the second consecutive year, the Catalano Memorial Library asked students, faculty, and staff to recommend their favorite books of the year! Be sure to click through the two pages of Raider recommendations.

The Central Catholic community came together on Saturday, December 20 for the annual Visions Christmas Coffeehouse. The night featured a variety of inspiring performances cheered on by a supportive audience filled with friends, classmates, and teachers.

Congratulations to Sarah Tressler '27, who has been named an All-American for girls soccer! She is just the second All-American in program history (the first since 2016). Sarah excels on the field, in the classroom, and through her commitment to leadership and service.

This fall, students in the National Honor Society created an Adopt a Backpack service project to support students in the Dominican Republic. As a result, they sent 70 backpacks (and uniforms!) to children in Arroyo Ancho that CCHS students had visited over the summer on a service trip with the BLUE Missions Group.

Thank you to all those who joined us on Friday, December 12, for an inspirational evening of art and music. A special thank you to all of the student-artists and student-musicians who shared their talents at the Winter Art Expo and the Winter Band & Chorus Concert.

Students enrolled in the course Facing History & Ourselves recently met with Dr. Rita Goldberg, an author and Harvard lecturer who is the daughter of a Holocaust survivor and resistor, and Mr. Jeffery Smith, from the Facing History & Ourselves organization.

Congratulations to the Central Catholic DECA Club! A program record 130 students participated in the District 3 Career Development Conference in Danvers in December, with 36 students qualifying for the State Career Development Conference at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in March 2026

Central Catholic High School is proud to announce the Academic Scholars and Principal's Award Recipients for the First Term of the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Honorees are recognized at the quarterly Principal's Awards Breakfast.

Over the weekend, the CCHS community was transported to a galaxy far, far away. Congratulations to the Theatre Guild on three outstanding shows of STAR STARS: The Franchise Awakens in the Allan B. Rogers Memorial Theater!

Congratulations to Michelle Cuevas Tineo '26, who has matched with the University of Pennsylvania through the highly selective QuestBridge program. Michelle will attend Penn on a full scholarship to study economics. Her purpose: to address the issues that perpetuate poverty.

On November 18, 2025, students studying Faith & Values in the Media (course #0146) spent the day exploring Digital Media with professors at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
