Congratulations to Kensley Ouellette '28, recipient of the William F. "Billy" Bateman '61 Scholarship. She was presented with the scholarship on April 17, 2024, in the Carney Family Chapel.

About the William F. "Billy" Bateman '61 Scholarship

The William F. "Billy" Bateman '61 Scholarship was established at Central Catholic High School by Billy’s family, friends, and classmates to honor his memory after his unexpected passing on June 15, 2021.

A resident of Haverhill, a graduate of Central Catholic High School (Class of 1961), and a member of the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame, Billy was a true gentleman, a man of great faith, and a teacher at the A.B. Bruce School in Lawrence for 35 years.

The recipient of the scholarship is Kensley Ouellette '28. She was officially named the recipient at a ceremony in Central Catholic’s Carney Family Chapel in April also attended by her mother, members of the Central Catholic Leadership Team, and additional family and friends of the Batemans.
