Imprescia Center Kicks Off with a Big Win

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebratory Kick-Off of the Imprescia Center for Female Sports Leadership at CCHS.

Over 100 supporters came together on May 15 to publicly launch this important initiative to better serve our students and alumni.

Participants included students, alumni spanning 60 years, coaches, parents, staff, and benefactors.

Thank you to Shaelagh Green '24, our student speaker!

Thank you to our student speaker, Shaelagh Green '24, a member of the Raiders Girls Basketball Team. She will be attending Framingham State University, where she will play on the basketball team.

Before the barbecue, attendees had the chance to watch the Raider Softball Team (ranked #2 headed into the State Tournament) battle Tewksbury Memorial High School on Raider Softball Field.

Following the barbecue, attendees watch the Raider Girls Lacrosse Team (ranked #1 in the state) defeat Portsmouth High School, the #1 team in New Hampshire, on Raider Field.

"I can’t put into words how thankful I am for the turnout we had at the Imprescia Center Kick Off," stated Mrs. Olivia (Imprescia '14) Burger. "Thank you to everyone who joined. I am so excited for what’s ahead!"

The Center was established in collaboration with CCHS Raider alumna Mrs. Olivia (Imprescia '14) Burger, an alumna scholar and student-athlete at Central Catholic who has made a generous investment to establish a program to help uplift other female student-athletes.

This Fund, through a series of workshops, seminars and networking events, will help give our female student-athletes the qualities and skills needed to succeed in sport and life as they develop into strong, female leaders.

It is our hope that this fund can grow and provide our female student-athletes and teams the resources and support both financially and physically to celebrate their success and excellence.
