Meet Our New Faculty & Staff!

The Central Catholic community is excited to welcome our newest group of dedicated educators and staff members as we begin the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Welcome to all of our new faculty and staff!

New faculty members attended a New Faculty & Staff Orientation in August and were prepared to hit the ground running when the students returned.

Mrs. Kathryn Delgiacco

Administrative Assistant, Admissions

Mrs. Delgiacco joined the Admissions Team in January.

"I believe in the mission of CCHS and find purpose in helping others achieve their potential and I really enjoy being part of a supportive environment that challenges young adults to be their best selves,” said Mrs. Delgiacco.

"I am happy to support the reputation, mission, and integrity of CCHS, where the administration, teachers, and staff are welcoming and the culture is inclusive and professional."

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Bentley University

Hobbies & Interests

"I custom paint dog portraits and donate a portion of each sale to a non-profit animal rescue group.”

Community Service & Volunteering

"I volunteer at Sweet Paws Rescue in Groveland."

Fun Fact

"My husband Craig and I live in Bradford with our two children Capri (age 11) and Cash (age 9), and we have two Great Danes and one cat."

Mr. Jose Diaz

Campus Safety Liaison

Mr. Diaz joined the Campus Safety Team in April.

"Central Catholic has an amazing history, and even though we aren’t educators, we are a vital part to the school's image," said Mr. Diaz. "I want our students to know Campus Safety will do everything in our power to keep them safe."

"This being my first time working in the school system, my hope is to empower and uplift our students to the best of my ability."

Hobbies & Interests

"I try to attend as many Yankee vs Red Sox games as possible (Go Yankees)."

"Music is an obsession of mine regardless of the genre, people would be pleasantly surprised with my playlist."

"I have worked in a Psychiatric Hospital for five years and helping people get better truly makes me feel accomplished."

"I am a part of the Crisis Prevention Institute where our focus is De-escalation, Safety and Security. I am also a part of a D.E.I committee (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)."

Fun Fact

"I worked at Hillsborough County Department of Corrections for over two years where I became a FTO (Field Training Officer) training incoming Correctional Officers."

Ms. Mackinzie Edwards

Athletic Trainer

"Central Catholic perfectly aligns with both my professional goals and personal values,” said Ms. Edwards. "After graduating from Merrimack College this past May, my primary goals have been to work as an athletic trainer in a high school setting, and Central Catholic offers an ideal environment for this."

"On a personal level, Central Catholic resonates deeply with me, as I grew up in the Catholic Church and hold a minor in Religious and Theological Studies. This connection to the values and community of Catholic education makes joining Central Catholic both a professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling experience."

"I enjoy working with high school students to witness their growth and development during such a formative time. Their energy and enthusiasm are inspiring, and it's rewarding to help them enhance their athletic skills while ensuring they return to activities safely. Being able to support their physical well-being while also helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals is deeply fulfilling."

Primary Focus

"My primary focus as an Athletic Trainer is to foster a positive and inclusive environment where athletes can thrive both in their sport and their personal development. I will implement structured rehabilitation programs and conduct regular assessments, leveraging my extensive experience in injury prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Central to my approach will be effective communication and collaboration with athletes, parents, and staff to ensure that everyone is aligned and well-supported."

Hobbies & Interests

Reading psychological thrillers, taking walks with her dog.

"Personal well-being and self-care is important to me, so I make sure to take time for things that help me relax and recharge. I'm always excited to try new things, whether that's baking, sampling different foods, or visiting new places, especially when it comes to finding the best ice cream spots. I'm also passionate about continuing my education and expanding my knowledge in healthcare and athletic training to stay current and grow professionally. All of these interests contribute to a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle."

Community Service & Volunteering

Merrimack College's Austin Scholars Program and volunteering at D'Youville Senior Center, where she assisted with activities like exercise, trivia, and prayer.

"It was fulfilling to engage with seniors and contribute to their well-being and happiness. I also had the opportunity to work with middle and elementary school students from the St. Louis School on STEM projects through an afterschool program, helping them explore non-traditional career paths and spark their curiosity. These experiences have not only allowed me to give back to the community, but have also taught me valuable lessons in empathy, leadership, and the importance of community engagement."

Fun Fact

"I was a beach lifeguard on the Wellfleet oceanside beaches of Cape Cod. During my time there, I experienced the 'shark boom' that has continued to grow in recent years. I was part of the team ensuring beach safety in an area known for its increasing shark activity. And yes, I have personally seen sharks!"

Mrs. Anna (Scionti '13) Favreau

School Nurse

Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach

Mrs. Favreau joined the Nursing Team in November of 2023.

"When I was a CCHS student, my teachers and coaches were what made my time at Central meaningful and memorable,” said Mrs. FAvreau.

"Now in the nursing role, I enjoy when students stop by to just chit chat about their day and their future plans. Watching them reach milestones like getting their licenses or getting accepted into their dream college that you've watched them work hard for all year is very exciting."

“When I heard there was a position to coach Girls Lacrosse, I wanted to step up to have a positive impact on students the way my coaches had on me. Over the past two years of coaching students, it's been really nice to see them grow over the years and become young adults.”

Hobbies & Interests

"I love playing cards with my family - it's a Sunday night tradition. I also love to play pickleball, take my dog on hikes, and snowboard."

"I traveled abroad to Australia in college and hope to move there one day."

"I was interested in getting involved with the CCHS community, and I really enjoy working with older students.”

"I'm an avid sports fan and I also enjoy reading books, working out at the gym and boating. I travel several times a year.”

Mr. Patrick Hashem '10

Mathematics Teacher

Mr. Hashem previously taught at CCHS, and we are excited to welcome him back!

"I chose to work at CCHS, because of its strong sense of community and belonging that is fostered here," said Mr. Hashem. "I really missed the true sense of community at CCHS that makes students feel at home during their time here. This feeling is very similar amongst the faculty and staff as well."

"I pursued a career in education because of my experience at CCHS as a student. I had many fun, dedicated, and personable teachers who taught me the value of a truly good teacher. That motivated me to provide the same experience to my students. I love the energy, confidence, and charisma of our students. They are also at such an important crossroads in their life and I hope to be a positive influence and help them navigate these important times."

Beyond the Classroom

“I would love to involve myself with the Bowling Club and participate in CCHS retreats and encounter programs."

Camping, rock climbing, video games, DIY homeowner stuff, and fitness.

"I am the tallest person (6’4”) in my immediate and extended family by a long shot."

Mr. Robert Hebert '91

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hebert joined CCHS as a member of the Business Office in January.

"I have many fond memories of when I was a student at CCHS, and many more as I watched my four children forge their own paths here as well."

"My family has established lifelong bonds and friendships throughout our years of involvement with the school."

"My decision to work at Central feels more like a decision to come back to a place that has always been home to me."

Ms. Katherine Reardon

English Teacher

"After working at two Catholic colleges, I really wanted to continue working in a Catholic school as I moved to the high school level," states Ms. Reardon. "Additionally, I have always been drawn to schools with strong athletic and extracurricular programs, so Central Catholic seemed like a perfect fit!"

"I was always drawn to education, and as an undergraduate, I found that I most enjoyed my field when I was assisting other students with comprehending texts. As a graduate student, I started working as a student teacher, and by the end of my first class I knew that I was an educator. Shaping young minds as such a critical point in the learning process, setting them up to attend great colleges and pursue as many opportunities as possible."

Master’s Degree in English from Boston College with a focus in Irish Literature and Culture; Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Maine

Hobbies & Interests

"I used to be a competitive figure skater and a classical dancer, and I'm an avid knitter - although I only know how to make scarves. Lately, I've been really enjoying yoga, reading about sports, and cooking."

Community Service & Volunteering

Volunteer dance teacher, CCD teacher, and St.Vincent de Paul food pantry of Lincoln and Weston.

Fun Facts

"I grew up in Westwood, Massachusetts, and lived in Orono, Maine for four years, and I've traveled to Italy, France, Aruba, Ireland, and Northern Ireland."

Mr. Heinrich Roessling

Campus Safety Liaison

Mr. Roessling joined the Campus Safety Team in December of 2023.

"I’d like to collect as much experience as possible interacting with parents and students in a campus safety role, bolstering my interpersonal and problem solving skills for a future career in law enforcement."

"After coming in and speaking with the administration and staff, I came to appreciate the high degree of professionalism and energy that embodies everyone that works here. Having the opportunity to work with and learn from the Campus Safety Team and the other departments has been instrumental in my personal development."

Education

Pelham High School, working towards an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice at Southern New Hampshire University.

Hobbies & Interests

Mixed Martial Arts, Jiujitsu, boxing, and weight training.

"I also love trail running and hiking - I try to hike in the White Mountains at least every two weeks with my father. I'm also a big fan of video games, comics, and animation."

Fun Fact

"I have a cat named Kiki that I found under a car at work last year. She's very vocal and affectionate!"

Mr. Kevin Shute previously worked at CCHS, and we are excited to welcome him back!

Assistant Principal for Student Success

"I wanted to pursue a career in education, because of my middle school math teacher Mr. Tracy,” said Mr. Wang. “I also love Central Catholic’s mission and I look forward to hearing about what students want to become when they graduate from high school."
