Quiz Bowl Team Debuts with Strong Showing at GBH
Central Catholic’s brand-new Quiz Bowl Team just hit the ground running.
This month, our team competed in the High School Quiz Show® Season 17 Super Sunday event at GBH studios in Brighton, going up against 70 schools from across Massachusetts.
The team that competed was as follows:

- Thomas DiStefano '28
- John Calobrisi '28
- Luke Pemble '29
- Jacob Petrosillo '28
Advisor & Coach: Mr. Timothy Callahan, Business & Technology Faculty
We held our own, stayed in contention for qualification and narrowly missed making the final bracket — a promising start for a first-year team.
We’re now looking to grow.
Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced, competitive, and genuinely fun way to sharpen your trivia skills, discover new interests, and work with classmates who enjoy a good challenge. We’ll be announcing meeting times and upcoming winter and spring competitions soon.
