'The Write Stuff' for College Essays

Seniors had the opportunity to sit down with College Admissions Representatives to review their essays as part of The Write Stuff: College Essay Review Day.

CCHS hosted fifteen experienced college admissions professionals to individually meet one hundred senior students to offer constructive and direct feedback on their college essays.

Good luck to our seniors as they prepare to submit applications to their best fit schools.

About The Write Stuff: College Essay Review Day

Developed and organized by the Office of School & College Counseling, this event pairs students with experienced College Admissions Representatives.

Leading up to the event, seniors registered by emailing a rough draft of their college essay to a dedicated email account. Once received, the essays were shared with the college representatives to review the essay and have suggestions ready to share with students.

From 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on October 11 in Central Catholic's Catalano Memorial Library, each student had one-on-one meetings with an assigned college representative to discuss their essay that they submit ahead of time to the admissions rep for review.
