An Amazing Life as a Marist

An Amazing Life as a Marist

We ask, in a special way, for the Central Catholic community to pray for the repose of the soul of Br. Seán Sammon, FMS.

Br. Seán, a member of our CCHS Board of Directors, lived an amazing life as a Marist Brother. He was the Provincial for the United States from 1987 – 1993, and then was elected Superior General for all the Marist Brothers in the world. He is the only American Marist Brother to hold this job, and he worked in Rome through 2009, overseeing 4,000 Marist Brothers in 79 countries.

His most recent title was that of Scholar in Residence at Marist College.

A wise and gentle mentor to many in the Marist World, Central Catholic was very fortunate to have him as a valued member of our Board for the last six years.

Please say a prayer of gratitude for the life of Br. Seán!

Submit a Special Intention

On behalf of the Marist Brothers and the CCHS Family, we invite you to submit any special intentions you may have, whether for a deceased loved one or for someone who is struggling.

Please click here to submit a special intention.

Your intention will be remembered in a special way during our All Saints' Day Liturgy, during the month of November, and throughout the year.

The name of your loved one will be inserted into the Prayer Book kept in Central Catholic’s Carney Family Chapel and will be remembered in a special way at school liturgies and prayer services throughout the year, including the weekly praying of the Rosary.

Prayer is an important part of life at Central Catholic, helping to sustain and strengthen the school community.

Students begin and end the school day with a prayer, and we offer special prayers for our deceased parents, alumni, faculty, relatives, and friends throughout the year.

It is our hope that you will receive strength from God and from the CCHS community.

Submit a Special Intention

Please join us in praying, as our students and staff do each school day:

Saint Marcellin Champagnat… Pray for us.
Saint Thérèse… Pray for us.
Mary, Our Good Mother…Pray for us.
And let us remember… To pray for each other.
