Beyond the Classroom: DECA the Halls

On Thursday, December 19, students competed in the DECA District 3 Conference at Merrimack College.

They were accompanied by Mr. Matthew Sansoucie '06 and Mr. Mark Svendsen.

Congratulations to the eight Central Catholic students who finished in the top six in their respective categories, qualifying for the DECA State Competition in February.

About DECA

Founded in 1949, DECA is an association of high school students and entrepreneurs with an interest in business in the fields of finance, marketing. business administration and hospitality management. Massachusetts DECA has chapters in over 90 high schools with over 7200 members.

Mission: DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Massachusetts DECA’s Objective is to support the development of marketing and management skills in career areas such as hospitality, finance, sales and service, business administration and entrepreneurship.
