Drew Carbone ’17 Qualifies for Olympic Swim Trials

Congratulations to Drew Carbone ’17, a sophomore at Georgetown University, who recently qualified for the 2020 US Olympic Trials in two events and is having a stellar college swimming career.

Drew, a record-setting swimmer at Central Catholic who won three Division 1 titles, has won every 100 and 200-yard backstroke race this season and also won the Big East title in the 200 individual medley.

He has already qualified for the 2020 US Olympic Trials in two events, only the second Hoya in program history to do so.

Drew qualified for the Olympic trials in the 100- and 200-meter backstroke at the US Swimming Winter National Championships held in Greensboro, NC, on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1
