About Marist Youth

CCHS students, united by the vision and mission of St. Marcellin Champagnat, meet periodically for prayer, discussion and fellowship. Through the efforts of Marist Youth, CCHS supports Marist schools in impoverished/war torn countries through fundraising efforts.

Marist Youth also participate in activities that include: Catholic Schools Week, school liturgies, Marist Youth gatherings at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and Marist Leadership Training at Marist Retreat House in Esopus, New York.

Marist Youth instruct Freshmen about the vision of St. Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers at Freshman Day at Camp Marist, through classroom presentations, and at Camp Champagnat Leadership Institute held in June after school closes.

About Lazarus House Ministries

Since opening its doors as an emergency homeless shelter in 1983, Lazarus House has been breaking the cycle of poverty in the Merrimack Valley region.

Their food and clothing programs assist families by stretching their dollars so they can afford rent, heat, and utilities. Housing provides a safe haven for homeless families and individuals.

Lazarus House Ministries was co-founded by a Marist Brother and member of the CCHS Faculty at the time: Bro. Thomas Petitte, FMS.
