The Office of School & College Counseling, continuing to go above and beyond for our students, has coordinated a series of six Virtual College Fairs this spring, each focused on a general category of schools. The series kicks off on Wednesday, March 3 with New England State Colleges & Universities.
Virtual College Fairs: Spring 2021
Sophomores and juniors are invited to attend a series of college fairs to jumpstart their college search process!
- March 3: New England State Colleges & Universities
- March 10: Flagship New England State Colleges & Universities
- March 24: STEM & Nursing Colleges & Universities
- March 31: Catholic Colleges & Universities
- April 7: Selective Colleges & Universities
- April 14: Business & Liberal Arts Colleges & Universities
Students will be able to visit with three of the colleges at each Fair.
You will be able to join each session and engage with college representatives through a zoom link on the student portal (must be logged in to view). No need to preregister.

5:00 PM - 5:15 PM: Your first college choice
5:15 PM - 5:20 PM: Transition time (break)
5:20 PM - 5:35 PM: Your second college choice
5:35 PM - 5:40 PM: Transition time (break)
5:40 PM - 5:55 PM: Your third college choice
- Choose three and create your schedule by selecting which college you would like to learn about
- Attend live, interactive zoom sessions
- Sessions cover a variety of topics such as:
- how to apply,
- student life,
- academics,
- athletics,
- diversity.

College Jumpstart Seminars with School Counselors
In January, juniors began attending a series of College Jumpstart seminars and workshops with School Counselors to put themselves in the best possible position to prepare for college and to navigate the college exploration process as they determine their best-fit schools.
SAT School Day @ CCHS
On Tuesday, April 27, the junior class will be taking the SAT at Central Catholic, ensuring that each member of the Class of 2022 has the opportunity to take and do their best the test.

The Class of 2021: Accepted!
As our sophomores and juniors are in the early phases of exploring the best-fit schools for them, we are excited to be celebrating our seniors are they are being accepted into their top choices and are preparing for bright futures and exciting opportunities!
A heartfelt thank you to everything that our Counseling Team has done to enhance the college search process during a challenging year by offering a large number of online resources and programs, including:

- The Write Stuff College Essay Review Days
- Virtual College Visits, and
- The Virtual College Fair, featuring 40 colleges and universities.
The Counseling Office empowered seniors to navigate the college application season with confidence and success by providing programs that support students & their families throughout the college selection process.
In the face of the pandemic, this meant increasing online programs, resources, and support.
These programs were in addition to in-person Apply Yourself and counseling seminars, as well as college testing.

In the spring of 2020, the Counseling Team began hosting webinars with college reps, posting Common Application tutorials, conducting seminars, and providing additional information to seniors and their families.

The Write Stuff: College Essay Review Days
Over 130 seniors took advantage of this unique opportunity to improve their college essays based on feedback from admissions professionals in higher education.
This event, held in October 2020, marked the fourth year of this innovative program and the first year it was conducted virtually.

Central Catholic’s Virtual College Fair
On November 4, seniors had the opportunity to meet with representatives from 40 colleges and universities via Zoom.
Virtual College Visits at CCHS
Over 130 colleges offered virtual Zoom visits exclusively for CCHS students.
Students were able to find and sign up for these opportunities via Naviance.
